Our Great Shoe and Handbag Sale started Tuesday--for the first three days of the sale, anything in the shoe department was an additional 20% off if the customer paid for it with their store card. It was so incredibly busy that even though I worked full 8 hour shifts on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, I never took a lunch break. But hey, I'm not complaining, because when I left yesterday, I had $9,400 in sales up. $10,000 is kind of the Holy Grail of weekly sales in the shoe department--it's damn tough to break that in one week. Well, I work 4-10 tonight, and if I can sell at least $1,600, I'll put in an $11,000 week!! And that also means I'll hit my sales threshold next week, and start making 11% commission instead of 8%. Oh yay, I can get some bills paid off!
